Sushant Patnaik is a serial entrepreneur with multiple startups to his credit in areas of semiconductors, software, networking and web technology. His entrepreneurial journey started in the early 90's. He started CMOS Tech and built it up to a revenue of 350 million US dollars, acquired later by Formosa group in Taiwan in 1995. He established multiple successful startups in the last 20 years in Silicon Valley. He is actively involved and has invested in companies like Concio, Azilon, Schoolcity in software; Perfect VIP, SonicAudio, IC Bridge in hardware / chip design; Relevance Lab, Accion labs in technology; and Ovenue, Smart Stay in the e- commerce space. Some of these businesses were either being acquired or exited through IPOs.
Sushant Patnaik has set up incubation centers in the USA and India to promote startups and provided initial funding through Investa Ventures. He is very actively working with the state government of Odisha to set up manufacturing in the EHDM sector, by taking advantage of the Government of India's current policy on hardware. He is also working with state of Odisha and TiE Silicon Valley to establish a strong relationship and build an eco-system to foster entrepreneurship in the state of Odisha.
